Mr. Norman Cornelius Powe departed this life on Wednesday. June 21, 2017 at a local hospital.  He retired from ABF Freight and was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Geneva Powe; five children, Paula Baker, Marietta Herbert, Maurice (Joann) Powe, Gina Powe, and Ashley Powe; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six sisters; two brothers; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Raymond Taylor, a native of Mobile, Alabama, born July 16, 1936, departed this life on Friday, August 4th, 2017 in his home in Daphne, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lawrence Taylor and Annie Marie Spencer Taylor; his spouse, Frances Brown Taylor; two sisters, Carolyn Taylor Willis and Beverly Ann Taylor Finklea. Raymond was an active member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and was a distinguished member of The Knights of Peter Claver. Raymond attended Most Pure Heart of Mary High School. He served four years in the United States Air Force and went on to attend the Veterans Cooking and Baking School. Raymond moved to the Bronx, New York with his wife, Frances, where he managed franchise restaurants. His success culminated in his successfully owning and operating two restaurants in New York City.

Raymond was loved and respected by many people and was known for his kindness, humility, generosity, wisdom and loyalty to family. He was a humble and devoted servant of God.

Myrtle Lucille Fisher Martin (Myrt, Myrtcille), a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL was born on April 30, 1930 and departed this life for her eternal celebration on Friday, July 28, 2017. Myrtle was a graduate of Josephine Allen Institute. She retired from Providence Hospital after many years of service. She was a faithful member of the Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church serving in the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, Legion of Mary, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW), Mobile Drexel Society, St. Martha Guild, Eucharist Ministries, Burse Club, HOM Senior Citizens, Bereavement Committee, HOM School Alumni Association and many other too numerous to name. Myrtle leaves to cherish her memories; children: Darrell Fisher of San Francisco, CA, Roderick (Tchinavaia) Fisher and Barbara (Rodney Curtis); sisters:her caregivers, Bertha Fisher, Lillian Sawyer, Charita Cook and Edwinda (Richard) Williams; brothers: Anthony Clairborne; grandchildren: Maurice Moore, Drashundra (Tom) Austin, Kenja Fisher, Zshakira S. Fisher, Mayah Martin and Rayah Curtis; ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; nieces: Michelle (Harry Russell) and Janet H. Fisher; nephews: Eric Tate and Brandon Scott; great nieces: Ericka Reese, Charita (Reginald) Rowser and Joi Russell; great nephew: Jamal Fitts; and a host of cousins, among them are Cheryl (Joshua) Williams, Joseph Keith, Derrick Coleman and the Fisher/Harris Clan of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, New York and Illinois; and many dear friends that she loved dearly.
